New Delhi: Nature has always been inspiring painters and lyricists. Unfortunately, with rapid urbanization and rising capitalism, the people are moving far away from the natural way of life.

Under the initiative of TRYforGood, communications strategist, Dr Anju Dave Vaish invited young artists to doodle, paint and express their love for nature as they show it for someone who they love.

Dr Manoj K Pundit, a geologist and Dr Abhinav Dinesh, Director BITS Mesra addressed the youth on how climate is impacted with humans’ unthoughtful actions. Dr Pundit shared his experiences of Antartica excursion that they have to manage each waste on their own at a place which is no man’s land.

Consumerism and human actions are impacting urban spaces heavily. Out of the world’s 20 most polluted cities 13 are in India. It is important that the citizens and specially the youth take a pause to connect more with nature so that they think of sustaining it and take responsible actions! Last year, on the Valentine’s Day, Anju had organized eco-selfie/photo contest for the youth which was widely appreciated as a unique concept.

Youngsters love such concepts which take them away from mundane. It not only inculcates the connection with nature somewhere, but also helps them overcome the digital fatigue fueling their own imagination. Being a concept artist, Anju herself doodled the invite.
