ICMR’s essay competition open for medical students, entries by 15th August

The essay competition with a cash prize of upto 1 lakh is being organized by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and is open for the graduate and post graduate medical students across the country

New Delhi: In order to promote the innovative thinking among students of medical science, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has invited entries from under graduate and post graduate medical students for its freshly launched ‘ICMR Essay Competition’.

The topics for the competition are (i) Innovation in Medicine: New Ideas for Translation (ii) Gandhi and Health: Celebrating 150 Years.

The essay on the above two topics should be of maximum 2000 words each. Only soft copy as single pdf file would be accepted.

Winners of both the essays will be awarded three cash prizes each with a first prize of Rs 1 Lakh, second prize of Rs 50,000 and third prize of Rs 25,000.

Results will be declared on October 2, 2018. The best essays will be published in the Indian Journal of Medical Research.

The entries in the form of soft copy as single pdf file may be sent through the Principal/Director of the concerned medical college, to ‘Dr N C Jain, Scientist G and Head, Human Resource Development, ICMR only through email, icmrcri.[email protected], to reach latest by 5:30 pm on on August 15, 2018.
