IKP set to hold its annual conference ‘IKMC 2018’ at Hyderabad

New Delhi: The ‘IKMC 2018′ being held at Hyderabad on 28th-29th October, is set to deliberate on some of the key issues concerning innovation ecosystem in the country. 

Organized by the IKP Knowledge Park, the two day event will witness deliberations through three plenary sessions, two roundtables, startup workshops and by hosting an exhibition with around 120 startups, mostly from life sciences domain, from 25 innovation clusters across India. These clusters are of varying maturity, and the exhibition is expected to lend an overview of the aspirations of innovators and entrepreneurs across the country, the ideas they are pursuing and where they need help.

Starting 28th October, the two parallel workshops for startups will be held on important topics. The first one is themed, ‘founder’s dilemma – what you always wanted to know’ The second workshop is focused on navigating regulatory compliances in life sciences. The third workshop is themed ‘being industry-ready’.

The Chief Guest on the occasion, Prof K. VijayRaghavan, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India in his inaugural address will talk about pursuing excellence in silos or designing a broader landscape.

In her welcome address, Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, Chairman and CEO, IKP will talk on realizing the vision of an innovative India.

Among other prominent speakers will be Mr Shrikumar Suryanarayan, President, ABLE, Chairman and MD, Sea6 Energy who will be talking on realizing a 100 billion bioeconomy by 2025. Mr N Vaghul, Chairman, IKP Trust, Former Chairman, ICICI Bank and IKP is also expected to deliver a plenary address.

The keynote address on ‘Innovation Access and Use in Addressing SDGs,’ is expected to be delivered by Dr M.K. Bhan, National Science Professor, IIT Delhi, Advisor, WHO, Former Secretary, DBT. 

The event will also have a video address, ‘Innovation through Inclusion – Connecting Communities of Change Makers’, by Dr Renu Swarup, Secretary, DBT and Chairperson, BIRAC.

The most promising innovations will be selected by the jury panel at the event.
